Involved in running since 1980, Mark enjoys keeping fit, and is a veteran of many marathons and ultra marathons. During his more than 40 years of running, Mark has run approximately 100,000 km, or the equivalent of  two and a half times around the circumference of the earth.

His runs have taken him to many places of interest, including the Mojave Desert,  Klondike, Lewis & Clark Trail, Paris, and a wild solo ultra-marathon where he Ran Across Vietnam in a single day.
